One line I couldn’t stand when my parents used it

Especially when I was angry.
They say that shit and I’m like
I don’t see yo ass fixin yo fae when you set on cussin a nigga out.
But my 5 year old ass got to be all cheery and shit after gettin yelled at/spanked/told no I can’t be the red power ranger?
And then they tell the kids
“Stop crying or I’ll give you something to cry about”
That’s like sayin “Stop bleeding before I shank you.”
I side eyed the FUCK outta my parents sayin that shit, and still do to this day…
